light interacts with the surface of

DESCRIPTION:
In November 2008 I moved back to the UK after a 26 year
journey!  The winters in the areas of Mexico and Spain where
I had lived are like warm English summers. In January 2009
that all changed, at one point the whole of the UK was covered
in a blanket of thick snow, a rare event even by UK records! It
clearly had an effect on me, and the results were this piece, and
its partner “Wintry Showers (portrait). I do remember thick
fluffy snowflakes, like the ones in my paintings, falling out of the
English sky’s in my childhood winter days.
