DESCRIPTION:
While I was painting this flower in my
studio in Mexico I was visited by several
of these large bees. I think they were attracted
by the paint fumes, however they all eventually
focused on the flower, heading towards the
centre. This one was so persistent that I just
had to include it in the painting.

Produced some months after the main
“Primavera” series, this piece is smaller
but follows the same style. Vientre refers
to the core center, in the case of the woman
the womb. Its a celebration of the energy
of reproduction.
