DESCRIPTION:
I lived in Vancouver Canada for a number
of years, and amongst the influences this
experience had on my work is watching the
Salmon in the rivers of British Columbia.
I don’t think anyone who has witnessed the
running of the Salmon forgets this amazing
natural event. They fight their way upstream
with astonishing tenacity, eventually reaching
their spawning grounds, where they mate and
die. At times there are so many fish in the
spawning pools it looks as if you could walk on
them without getting wet feet!
