Seeing these cactus growing in there natural environment still fascinates me. In Mexico both the fleshy green stems, and the red flowers, “tunas” are eaten. The contrast of the two colors, and the way the light plays on the stems makes it an irresistible subject for me, especially when it grows so close to the pastel blue Mexican Pacific.
