In November 1999 I slipped over the side of a
small boat into the Pacific Ocean, below me was
part of The Great Barrier Reef. It was like dropping into a marine discotheque, a kaleidoscope of colours and shapes. My memories of this experience where as alive when I painted this piece in 2008, as they were on the day it happened. |
