DESCRIPTION:
In 2006 I lived in La Manzanilla, located on
the west coast of Mexico 300 kms South of
Puerto Vallarta. On my daily walks along side
the beach I noticed these plants. At first they
were just a grouping of long thin grass like
leaves that extended up about 20 centimeters.
However, as time went on stalks appeared,
and then one day the flowers exploded into
life. The edges of the path were covered in these
exquisite little blossoms that seemed to me like
exploding fireworks.
