DESCRIPTION:
On the West Coast of Mexico the Grey Pelicans cruse up and down the shallow water looking for fish to feed on. Many times I swam in the waves, and these majestic bird swooped just over my head. I badly wanted to try to capture the scene, but they came and went so fast that I couldn’t imagine doing the experience justice. Then one day a local came out of the water with a dazed and disorientated bird in his arms, dropping it on the sand close to where I was. At last I had a chance to take a much closer look at this subject, and eventually fulfill my ambition to commit it to my canvas.
